About us

A cleaning company built around the people who do the work

Based in Kent and working across the Westerham, Sevenoaks and surrounding areas, The Cleaning Partnership was set up to provide home cleaning with professionalism and distinction.

Tell us your cleaning requirements and the schedule you need to work to, and we create a programme that suits your routine — whether that is a weekly clean, an annual spring clean or a full housekeeping arrangement.

Our staff are trained in safety and security and in every aspect of housekeeping, which lets us offer a high quality, reliable service. The company is friendly, polite and discreet, and will do its utmost to make sure you are entirely satisfied with the work.

We believe we can meet our customers' needs more efficiently by employing the right calibre of staff — people with the passion and desire to deliver a service that is second to none.

By telling us your requirements and the schedule you need to work to, we can create a programme that best suits your personal routine.

The Ironing Emporium

Clients kept asking whether we could take on their ironing too — an all-in-one arrangement being far more useful to them. After four years building the cleaning business, Wendy found a Victorian shop and opened The Ironing Emporium.

It is a quintessential ironing shop, using heated ironing boards and Laura Star irons. Folded garments are wrapped in tissue paper and shirts and dresses are hung. You are given your own ironing bag to fill each week; we collect it and bring everything back to you free of charge, within 48 hours.

The people behind the partnership

Wendy Evans of The Cleaning Partnership

Wendy Evans

Wendy has long experience of running businesses and believes the most important part of it is treating staff properly. "It is all about the training," she says. "Promoting a professional atmosphere where the team can grow as individuals."

Having used domestic cleaning companies herself while raising young children and running two earlier businesses, she found the standard of cleaning fell short of her own and the office support disappointing. Cleaning homes is extremely personal, and she wanted better-trained staff who understand how to care for expensive kitchens, floors and ornaments, and who communicate with the office when a client needs more help.

Wendy launched The Ironing Emporium in October 2010 and is proud of the shop in Brasted High Street, which complements the cleaning service.

Debbie Stark of Cleaning Partnership by Debbie Stark

Debbie Stark

"When I first joined The Cleaning Partnership, it was simply to lend a hand for a short while. As a PA by trade, I'm used to organising, supporting and keeping things running smoothly. While helping Wendy I travelled from Maidstone to Sevenoaks every day — I loved the work and the people, but the distance made me realise there was a real need for the same care and reliability closer to home."

"With my previous business experience and everything I'd learned working with The Cleaning Partnership, launching a local service felt like the natural next step. I'm proud to launch Cleaning Partnership by Debbie Stark alongside Wendy, bringing a personal, trustworthy and high-standard cleaning service to the Maidstone community too."
